Conservation Is Not a Marketing Angle.
At First Rise Outfitters, conservation is not a marketing angle. It is part of the foundation of who we are. The rivers, mountains, forests, and public lands we pursue are not endless resources. They are living systems that require respect, protection, and responsibility from those who use them. We believe wild places are worth preserving, not just for ourselves, but for the generations that will come after us.
On the Water
Our commitment to conservation begins on the water. That means respecting spawning grounds, practicing responsible catch and release, handling fish with care, and understanding the impact water temperature and environmental stress can have on wild fisheries. It means packing out what we pack in, leaving no trace behind, and always working to leave a place better than we found it.
What We Protect
We believe in protecting native fisheries, preserving public access to wild spaces, and supporting the habitats that sustain wildlife across the country. Healthy rivers, strong fish populations, and protected landscapes do not happen by accident. They exist because people choose to defend them.
The Species We Chase
The species we chase, from brook trout to cutthroat trout, are part of a larger story of balance, resilience, and stewardship. Understanding the fish, the water, and the ecosystems they depend on is a responsibility every angler should carry.
Our mission is grounded in three simple values.
Pursue
The wild with purpose.
Respect
The land, water, and wildlife that make the experience possible.
Conserve
What remains so the tradition can endure long after us.
